Vintage Honda Prices

I remember when these bikes had asking prices that were reasonably close to their values. They are neither rare nor unique, but are loads of fun. I wish I would have kept the few I have owned over the years. On the other hand, they are significantly more reliable and have longer lives than the generic plastic fantastic bikes from Asia these days.
This Honda only has 590 miles on it. It's all original. Has new tires, battery, carb kit, tune up kit ect. Everything works. This bike was adult owned and not torn up like many of these old Honda's were!! Starts right up and runs like a new one.

New custom aluminum cases by ep!c

I had a pair of custom panniers and racks built for my DL1000 V-Strom, waiting for them to arrive now. The builder is a one-man operation, so it took a little longer than I had hoped. The cases and racks look good, and they're about half the cost of anything else on the market.

I'm excited to get them mounted on the Vee and start abusing them soon! More to come...

New to me V-Strom

I recently picked up a used 2005 Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom. It needed a little attention, but is in pretty good shape already. I can't wait to get it out on the road. My old Ninja 250 feels like a bicycle or moped now...

Stampede Trail Alaska via ATV and thinking of McCandless

I had the opportunity to go riding near Healy, AK on the Stampede Trail by ATV this fall. I spent a few hours on a 350cc Grizzly, going about as far down the trail as I'd like to given my preparation and experience level, though I'd love to go again and do more exploring.

The trail is infamous for being the route that Christopher McCandless took on his final adventure. I believe that he had high hopes and dreams, but was not prepared for the Alaskan wilderness. It's a sad reminder to always enjoy adventures within your abilities, let someone know where you're going and have safety on your mind.

The terrain is so beautiful and rugged. I'm looking forward to the next trip to Alaska.
